Thus the heavens⁸⁰⁶⁴ and the earth⁷⁷⁶ were finished,³⁶¹⁵ and all the host⁶⁶³⁵ of them.

And on the seventh⁷⁶³⁷ day³¹¹⁷ Elohim⁴³⁰ ended³⁶¹⁵ his work⁴³⁹⁹ which he had made;⁶²¹³ and he rested⁷⁶⁷³ on the seventh⁷⁶³⁷ day³¹¹⁷ from all his work⁴³⁹⁹ which he had made.⁶²¹³

And Elohim⁴³⁰ blessed¹²⁸⁸ the seventh⁷⁶³⁷ day,³¹¹⁷ and sanctified⁶⁹⁴² it: because that³⁵⁸⁸ in it he had rested⁷⁶⁷³ from all his work⁴³⁹⁹ which Elohim⁴³⁰ created¹²⁵⁴ and made.⁶²¹³

These⁴²⁸ are the generations⁸⁴³⁵ of the heavens⁸⁰⁶⁴ and of the earth⁷⁷⁶ when they were created,¹²⁵⁴ in the day³¹¹⁷ that Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ Elohim⁴³⁰ made⁶²¹³ the earth⁷⁷⁶ and the heavens.⁸⁰⁶⁴

And every plant⁷⁸⁸⁰ of the field⁷⁷⁰⁴ before²⁹⁶² it was in the earth,⁷⁷⁶ and every herb⁶²¹² of the field⁷⁷⁰⁴ before²⁹⁶² it grew:⁶⁷⁷⁹ for³⁵⁸⁸ Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ Elohim⁴³⁰ had not³⁸⁰⁸ caused it to rain⁴³⁰⁵ upon the earth,⁷⁷⁶ and there was not³⁶⁹ a man¹²⁰ to till⁵⁶⁴⁷ the ground.¹²⁷

But there went up⁵⁹²⁷ a mist¹⁰⁸ from⁴⁴⁸⁰ the earth,⁷⁷⁶ and watered⁸²⁴⁸ the whole face⁶⁴⁴⁰ of the ground.¹²⁷

And Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ Elohim⁴³⁰ formed³³³⁵ man¹²⁰ of the dust⁶⁰⁸³ of⁴⁴⁸⁰ the ground,¹²⁷ and breathed⁵³⁰¹ into his nostrils⁶³⁹ the breath⁵³⁹⁷ of life;²⁴¹⁶ and man¹²⁰ became a living²⁴¹⁶ soul.⁵³¹⁵

And Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ Elohim⁴³⁰ planted⁵¹⁹³ a garden¹⁵⁸⁸ eastward⁶⁹²⁴ in Eden;⁵⁷³¹ and there⁸⁰³³ he put⁷⁷⁶⁰ the man¹²⁰ whom⁸³⁴ he had formed.³³³⁵

And out of⁴⁴⁸⁰ the ground¹²⁷ made Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ Elohim⁴³⁰ to grow⁶⁷⁷⁹ every tree⁶⁰⁸⁶ that is pleasant²⁵³⁰ to the sight,⁴⁷⁵⁸ and good²⁸⁹⁶ for food;³⁹⁷⁸ the tree⁶⁰⁸⁶ of life²⁴¹⁶ also in the midst⁸⁴³² of the garden,¹⁵⁸⁸ and the tree⁶⁰⁸⁶ of knowledge¹⁸⁴⁷ of good²⁸⁹⁶ and evil.⁷⁴⁵¹

And a river⁵¹⁰⁴ went out³³¹⁸ of Eden⁵⁷³¹ to water⁸²⁴⁸ the garden;¹⁵⁸⁸ and from thence it was parted,⁶⁵⁰⁴ and became into four⁷⁰² heads.⁷²¹⁸

The name⁸⁰³⁴ of the first²⁵⁹ is Pison:⁶³⁷⁶ that¹⁹³¹ is it which compasseth⁵⁴³⁷ the whole land⁷⁷⁶ of Havilah,²³⁴¹ where⁸³⁴ there is gold;²⁰⁹¹

And the gold²⁰⁹¹ of that¹⁹³¹ land⁷⁷⁶ is good:²⁸⁹⁶ there is bdellium⁹¹⁶ and the onyx⁷⁷¹⁸ stone.⁶⁸

And the name⁸⁰³⁴ of the second⁸¹⁴⁵ river⁵¹⁰⁴ is Gihon:¹⁵²¹ the same is it that compasseth⁵⁴³⁷ the whole land⁷⁷⁶ of Ethiopia.³⁵⁶⁸

And the name⁸⁰³⁴ of the third⁷⁹⁹² river⁵¹⁰⁴ is Hiddekel:²³¹³ that is it which goeth¹⁹⁸⁰ toward the east⁶⁹²⁶ of Assyria.⁸⁰⁴ And the fourth⁷²⁴³ river⁵¹⁰⁴ is Euphrates.⁶⁵⁷⁸

And Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ Elohim⁴³⁰ took³⁹⁴⁷ the man,¹²⁰ and put³²⁴⁰ him into the garden¹⁵⁸⁸ of Eden⁵⁷³¹ to dress⁵⁶⁴⁷ it and to keep⁸¹⁰⁴ it.

And Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ Elohim⁴³⁰ commanded⁶⁶⁸⁰ the man,¹²⁰ saying,⁵⁵⁹ Of every tree⁶⁰⁸⁶ of the garden¹⁵⁸⁸ thou mayest freely³⁹⁸ eat:³⁹⁸

But of the tree⁶⁰⁸⁶ of the knowledge¹⁸⁴⁷ of good²⁸⁹⁶ and evil,⁷⁴⁵¹ thou shalt not eat³⁹⁸ of it: for in the day³¹¹⁷ that thou eatest³⁹⁸ thereof thou shalt surely⁴¹⁹¹ die.⁴¹⁹¹

And Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ Elohim⁴³⁰ said,⁵⁵⁹ It is not good²⁸⁹⁶ that the man¹²⁰ should be¹⁹⁶¹ alone; I will make⁶²¹³ him a help⁵⁸²⁸ meet for him.

And out of the ground¹²⁷ Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ Elohim⁴³⁰ formed³³³⁵ every beast²⁴¹⁶ of the field,⁷⁷⁰⁴ and every fowl⁵⁷⁷⁵ of the air;⁸⁰⁶⁴ and brought⁹³⁵ them unto Adam¹²⁰ to see⁷²⁰⁰ what he would call⁷¹²¹ them: and whatsoever Adam¹²⁰ called⁷¹²¹ every living²⁴¹⁶ creature,⁵³¹⁵ that¹⁹³¹ was the name⁸⁰³⁴ thereof.

And Adam¹²⁰ gave⁷¹²¹ names⁸⁰³⁴ to all cattle,⁹²⁹ and to the fowl⁵⁷⁷⁵ of the air,⁸⁰⁶⁴ and to every beast²⁴¹⁶ of the field;⁷⁷⁰⁴ but for Adam¹²⁰ there was not found⁴⁶⁷² a help⁵⁸²⁸ meet for him.

And Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ Elohim⁴³⁰ caused a deep sleep⁸⁶³⁹ to fall⁵³⁰⁷ upon Adam,¹²⁰ and he slept:³⁴⁶² and he took³⁹⁴⁷ one²⁵⁹ of his ribs,⁶⁷⁶³ and closed up⁵⁴⁶² the flesh¹³²⁰ instead thereof;

And the rib,⁶⁷⁶³ which Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ Elohim⁴³⁰ had taken³⁹⁴⁷ from man,¹²⁰ made¹¹²⁹ he a woman,⁸⁰² and brought⁹³⁵ her unto the man.¹²⁰

And Adam¹²⁰ said,⁵⁵⁹ This²⁰⁶³ is now⁶⁴⁷¹ bone⁶¹⁰⁶ of my bones,⁶¹⁰⁶ and flesh¹³²⁰ of my flesh:¹³²⁰ she²⁰⁶³ shall be called⁷¹²¹ Woman,⁸⁰² because she³⁵⁸⁸ was taken³⁹⁴⁷ out of Man.³⁷⁶

Therefore³⁶⁵¹ shall a man³⁷⁶ leave⁵⁸⁰⁰ his father¹ and his mother,⁵¹⁷ and shall cleave¹⁶⁹² unto his wife:⁸⁰² and they shall be one²⁵⁹ flesh.¹³²⁰

And they were both⁸¹⁴⁷ naked,⁶¹⁷⁴ the man¹²⁰ and his wife,⁸⁰² and were not ashamed.⁹⁵⁴
