The word¹⁶⁹⁷ that Jeremiah³⁴¹⁴ the prophet⁵⁰³⁰ spake¹⁶⁹⁶ unto Baruch¹²⁶³ the son¹¹²¹ of Neriah,⁵³⁷⁴ when he had written³⁷⁸⁹ these words¹⁶⁹⁷ in a book⁵⁶¹² at the mouth⁶³¹⁰ of Jeremiah,³⁴¹⁴ in the fourth⁷²⁴³ year⁸¹⁴¹ of Jehoiakim³⁰⁷⁹ the son¹¹²¹ of Josiah²⁹⁷⁷ king⁴⁴²⁸ of Judah,³⁰⁶³ saying,⁵⁵⁹

Thus saith⁵⁵⁹ Yahweh,³⁰⁶⁸ the Elohim⁴³⁰ of Israel,³⁴⁷⁸ unto thee, O Baruch;¹²⁶³

Thou didst say,⁵⁵⁹ Woe¹⁸⁸ is me now! for Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ hath added³²⁵⁴ grief³⁰¹⁵ to my sorrow;⁴³⁴¹ I fainted³⁰²¹ in my sighing,⁵⁸⁵ and I find⁴⁶⁷² no rest.⁴⁴⁹⁶

Thus shalt thou say⁵⁵⁹ unto him, Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ saith⁵⁵⁹ thus; Behold, that which I have built¹¹²⁹ will I break down,²⁰⁴⁰ and that which I have planted⁵¹⁹³ I will pluck up,⁵⁴²⁸ even this whole land.⁷⁷⁶

And seekest¹²⁴⁵ thou great things¹⁴¹⁹ for thyself? seek¹²⁴⁵ them not: for, behold, I will bring⁹³⁵ evil⁷⁴⁵¹ upon all flesh,¹³²⁰ saith⁵⁰⁰² Yahweh:³⁰⁶⁸ but thy life⁵³¹⁵ will I give⁵⁴¹⁴ unto thee for a prey⁷⁹⁹⁸ in all places⁴⁷²⁵ whither thou goest.³²¹²
