Now it came to pass, as David¹⁷³² sat³⁴²⁷ in his house,¹⁰⁰⁴ that David¹⁷³² said⁵⁵⁹ to Nathan⁵⁴¹⁶ the prophet,⁵⁰³⁰ Lo, I dwell³⁴²⁷ in an house¹⁰⁰⁴ of cedars,⁷³⁰ but the ark⁷²⁷ of the covenant¹²⁸⁵ of Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ remaineth under curtains.³⁴⁰⁷

2 Samuel 7:1-17

Then Nathan⁵⁴¹⁶ said⁵⁵⁹ unto David,¹⁷³² Do⁶²¹³ all that is in thine heart;³⁸²⁴ for Elohim⁴³⁰ is with thee.

And it came to pass the same night,³⁹¹⁵ that the word¹⁶⁹⁷ of Elohim⁴³⁰ came to Nathan,⁵⁴¹⁶ saying,⁵⁵⁹

Go³²¹² and tell⁵⁵⁹ David¹⁷³² my servant,⁵⁶⁵⁰ Thus saith⁵⁵⁹ Yahweh,³⁰⁶⁸ Thou shalt not build¹¹²⁹ me an house¹⁰⁰⁴ to dwell in:³⁴²⁷

For I have not dwelt³⁴²⁷ in an house¹⁰⁰⁴ since the day³¹¹⁷ that I brought up⁵⁹²⁷ Israel³⁴⁷⁸ unto this day;³¹¹⁷ but have gone from tent¹⁶⁸ to tent,¹⁶⁸ and from one tabernacle⁴⁹⁰⁸ to another.

Wheresoever I have walked¹⁹⁸⁰ with all Israel,³⁴⁷⁸ spake¹⁶⁹⁶ I a word¹⁶⁹⁷ to any²⁵⁹ of the judges⁸¹⁹⁹ of Israel,³⁴⁷⁸ whom I commanded⁶⁶⁸⁰ to feed⁷⁴⁶² my people,⁵⁹⁷¹ saying,⁵⁵⁹ Why have ye not built¹¹²⁹ me an house¹⁰⁰⁴ of cedars?⁷³⁰

Now therefore thus shalt thou say⁵⁵⁹ unto my servant⁵⁶⁵⁰ David,¹⁷³² Thus saith⁵⁵⁹ Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ of hosts,⁶⁶³⁵ I took³⁹⁴⁷ thee from the sheepcote,⁵¹¹⁶ even from following³¹⁰ the sheep,⁶⁶²⁹ that thou shouldest be ruler⁵⁰⁵⁷ over my people⁵⁹⁷¹ Israel:³⁴⁷⁸

And I have been with thee whithersoever thou hast walked,¹⁹⁸⁰ and have cut off³⁷⁷² all thine enemies³⁴¹ from before⁶⁴⁴⁰ thee, and have made⁶²¹³ thee a name⁸⁰³⁴ like the name⁸⁰³⁴ of the great men¹⁴¹⁹ that are in the earth.⁷⁷⁶

Also I will ordain⁷⁷⁶⁰ a place⁴⁷²⁵ for my people⁵⁹⁷¹ Israel,³⁴⁷⁸ and will plant⁵¹⁹³ them, and they shall dwell⁷⁹³¹ in their place, and shall be moved⁷²⁶⁴ no more; neither shall the children¹¹²¹ of wickedness⁵⁷⁶⁶ waste¹⁰⁸⁶ them any more,³²⁵⁴ as at the beginning,⁷²²³

And since the time³¹¹⁷ that I commanded⁶⁶⁸⁰ judges⁸¹⁹⁹ to be over my people⁵⁹⁷¹ Israel.³⁴⁷⁸ Moreover I will subdue³⁶⁶⁵ all thine enemies.³⁴¹ Furthermore I tell⁵⁰⁴⁶ thee that Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ will build¹¹²⁹ thee an house.¹⁰⁰⁴

And it shall come to pass, when thy days³¹¹⁷ be expired⁴³⁹⁰ that thou must go³²¹² to be with thy fathers,¹ that I will raise up⁶⁹⁶⁵ thy seed²²³³ after³¹⁰ thee, which shall be of thy sons;¹¹²¹ and I will establish³⁵⁵⁹ his kingdom.⁴⁴³⁸

He shall build¹¹²⁹ me an house,¹⁰⁰⁴ and I will stablish³⁵⁵⁹ his throne³⁶⁷⁸ for⁵⁷⁰⁴ ever.⁵⁷⁶⁹

I will be his father,¹ and he shall be my son:¹¹²¹ and I will not take my mercy²⁶¹⁷ away⁵⁴⁹³ from him, as I took⁵⁴⁹³ it from him that was before⁶⁴⁴⁰ thee:

But I will settle⁵⁹⁷⁵ him in mine house¹⁰⁰⁴ and in my kingdom⁴⁴³⁸ for ever:⁵⁷⁶⁹ and his throne³⁶⁷⁸ shall be established³⁵⁵⁹ for⁵⁷⁰⁴ evermore.⁵⁷⁶⁹

According to all these words,¹⁶⁹⁷ and according to all this vision,²³⁷⁷ so did Nathan⁵⁴¹⁶ speak¹⁶⁹⁶ unto David.¹⁷³²

And David¹⁷³² the king⁴⁴²⁸ came⁹³⁵ and sat³⁴²⁷ before⁶⁴⁴⁰ Yahweh,³⁰⁶⁸ and said,⁵⁵⁹ Who am I, O Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ Elohim,⁴³⁰ and what is mine house,¹⁰⁰⁴ that thou hast brought⁹³⁵ me hitherto?¹⁹⁸⁸

And yet this was a small thing⁶⁹⁹⁴ in thine eyes,⁵⁸⁶⁹ O Elohim;⁴³⁰ for thou hast also spoken¹⁶⁹⁶ of thy servant's⁵⁶⁵⁰ house¹⁰⁰⁴ for a great while to come,⁷³⁵⁰ and hast regarded⁷²⁰⁰ me according to the estate⁸⁴⁴⁸ of a man¹²⁰ of high degree,⁴⁶⁰⁹ O Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ Elohim.⁴³⁰

What can David¹⁷³² speak more³²⁵⁴ to thee for the honour³⁵¹⁹ of thy servant?⁵⁶⁵⁰ for thou knowest³⁰⁴⁵ thy servant.⁵⁶⁵⁰

O Yahweh,³⁰⁶⁸ for thy servant's⁵⁶⁵⁰ sake, and according to thine own heart,³⁸²⁰ hast thou done⁶²¹³ all this greatness,¹⁴²⁰ in making known³⁰⁴⁵ all these great things.¹⁴²⁰

O Yahweh,³⁰⁶⁸ there is none like thee, neither is there any Elohim⁴³⁰ beside²¹⁰⁸ thee, according to all that we have heard⁸⁰⁸⁵ with our ears.²⁴¹

And what one²⁵⁹ nation¹⁴⁷¹ in the earth⁷⁷⁶ is like thy people⁵⁹⁷¹ Israel,³⁴⁷⁸ whom Elohim⁴³⁰ went¹⁹⁸⁰ to redeem⁶²⁹⁹ to be his own people,⁵⁹⁷¹ to make⁷⁷⁶⁰ thee a name⁸⁰³⁴ of greatness¹⁴²⁰ and terribleness,³³⁷² by driving out¹⁶⁴⁴ nations¹⁴⁷¹ from before⁶⁴⁴⁰ thy people,⁵⁹⁷¹ whom thou hast redeemed⁶²⁹⁹ out of Egypt?⁴⁷¹⁴

For thy people⁵⁹⁷¹ Israel³⁴⁷⁸ didst thou make⁵⁴¹⁴ thine own people⁵⁹⁷¹ for⁵⁷⁰⁴ ever;⁵⁷⁶⁹ and thou, Yahweh,³⁰⁶⁸ becamest their Elohim.⁴³⁰

Therefore now, Yahweh,³⁰⁶⁸ let the thing¹⁶⁹⁷ that thou hast spoken¹⁶⁹⁶ concerning thy servant⁵⁶⁵⁰ and concerning his house¹⁰⁰⁴ be established⁵³⁹ for⁵⁷⁰⁴ ever,⁵⁷⁶⁹ and do⁶²¹³ as thou hast said.¹⁶⁹⁶

Let it even be established,⁵³⁹ that thy name⁸⁰³⁴ may be magnified¹⁴³¹ for⁵⁷⁰⁴ ever,⁵⁷⁶⁹ saying,⁵⁵⁹ Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ of hosts⁶⁶³⁵ is the Elohim⁴³⁰ of Israel,³⁴⁷⁸ even an Elohim⁴³⁰ to Israel:³⁴⁷⁸ and let the house¹⁰⁰⁴ of David¹⁷³² thy servant⁵⁶⁵⁰ be established³⁵⁵⁹ before⁶⁴⁴⁰ thee.

For thou, O my Elohim,⁴³⁰ hast told¹⁵⁴⁰ thy servant⁵⁶⁵⁰ that thou wilt build¹¹²⁹ him an house:¹⁰⁰⁴ therefore thy servant⁵⁶⁵⁰ hath found⁴⁶⁷² in his heart to pray⁶⁴¹⁹ before⁶⁴⁴⁰ thee.

And now, Yahweh,³⁰⁶⁸ thou art Elohim,⁴³⁰ and hast promised¹⁶⁹⁶ this goodness²⁸⁹⁶ unto thy servant:⁵⁶⁵⁰

Now therefore let it please²⁹⁷⁴ thee to bless¹²⁸⁸ the house¹⁰⁰⁴ of thy servant,⁵⁶⁵⁰ that it may be before⁶⁴⁴⁰ thee for ever:⁵⁷⁶⁹ for thou blessest,¹²⁸⁸ O Yahweh,³⁰⁶⁸ and it shall be blessed¹²⁸⁸ for ever.⁵⁷⁶⁹
