And Job³⁴⁷ answered⁶⁰³⁰ and said,⁵⁵⁹

No doubt⁵⁵¹ but ye are the people,⁵⁹⁷¹ and wisdom²⁴⁵¹ shall die⁴¹⁹¹ with you.

But¹⁵⁷¹ I have understanding³⁸²⁴ as well as you;³⁶⁴⁴ I am not inferior⁵³⁰⁷ to you: yea, who knoweth not such things³⁶⁴⁴ as these?

I am as one mocked⁷⁸¹⁴ of his neighbour,⁷⁴⁵³ who calleth⁷¹²¹ upon Eloah,⁴³³ and he answereth⁶⁰³⁰ him: the just⁶⁶⁶² upright⁸⁵⁴⁹ man is laughed to scorn.⁷⁸¹⁴

He that is ready³⁵⁵⁹ to slip⁴⁵⁷¹ with his feet⁷²⁷² is as a lamp³⁹⁴⁰ despised⁹³⁷ in the thought⁶²⁴⁸ of him that is at ease.⁷⁶⁰⁰

The tabernacles¹⁶⁸ of robbers⁷⁷⁰³ prosper,⁷⁹⁵¹ and they that provoke⁷²⁶⁴ El⁴¹⁰ are secure;⁹⁸⁷ into whose hand³⁰²⁷ Eloah⁴³³ bringeth⁹³⁵ abundantly.

But¹⁹⁹ ask⁷⁵⁹² now the beasts,⁹²⁹ and they shall teach³³⁸⁴ thee; and the fowls⁵⁷⁷⁵ of the air,⁸⁰⁶⁴ and they shall tell⁵⁰⁴⁶ thee:

Or speak⁷⁸⁷⁸ to the earth,⁷⁷⁶ and it shall teach³³⁸⁴ thee: and the fishes¹⁷⁰⁹ of the sea³²²⁰ shall declare⁵⁶⁰⁸ unto thee.

Who knoweth³⁰⁴⁵ not in all these that the hand³⁰²⁷ of Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ hath wrought⁶²¹³ this?

In whose hand³⁰²⁷ is the soul⁵³¹⁵ of every living thing,²⁴¹⁶ and the breath⁷³⁰⁷ of all mankind.³⁷⁶

Doth not the ear²⁴¹ try⁹⁷⁴ words?⁴⁴⁰⁵ and the mouth²⁴⁴¹ taste²⁹³⁸ his meat?⁴⁰⁰

With the ancient³⁴⁵³ is wisdom;²⁴⁵¹ and in length⁷⁵³ of days³¹¹⁷ understanding.⁸³⁹⁴

With him is wisdom²⁴⁵¹ and strength,¹³⁶⁹ he hath counsel⁶⁰⁹⁸ and understanding.⁸³⁹⁴

Behold, he breaketh down,²⁰⁴⁰ and it cannot³⁸⁰⁸ be built¹¹²⁹ again: he shutteth⁵⁴⁶² up a man,³⁷⁶ and there can be no³⁸⁰⁸ opening.⁶⁶⁰⁵

Behold, he withholdeth⁶¹¹³ the waters,⁴³²⁵ and they dry up:³⁰⁰¹ also he sendeth them out,⁷⁹⁷¹ and they overturn²⁰¹⁵ the earth.⁷⁷⁶

With him is strength⁵⁷⁹⁷ and wisdom:⁸⁴⁵⁴ the deceived⁷⁶⁸³ and the deceiver⁷⁶⁸⁶ are his.

He leadeth³²¹² counsellors³²⁸⁹ away spoiled,⁷⁷⁵⁸ and maketh the judges⁸¹⁹⁹ fools.¹⁹⁸⁴

He looseth⁶⁶⁰⁵ the bond⁴¹⁴⁸ of kings,⁴⁴²⁸ and girdeth⁶³¹ their loins⁴⁹⁷⁵ with a girdle.²³²

He leadeth³²¹² princes³⁵⁴⁸ away spoiled,⁷⁷⁵⁸ and overthroweth⁵⁵⁵⁷ the mighty.³⁸⁶

He removeth away⁵⁴⁹³ the speech⁸¹⁹³ of the trusty,⁵³⁹ and taketh away³⁹⁴⁷ the understanding²⁹⁴⁰ of the aged.²²⁰⁵

He poureth⁸²¹⁰ contempt⁹³⁷ upon princes,⁵⁰⁸¹ and weakeneth⁷⁵⁰³ the strength⁴²⁰⁶ of the mighty.⁶⁵⁰

He discovereth¹⁵⁴⁰ deep things⁶⁰¹³ out of darkness,²⁸²² and bringeth out³³¹⁸ to light²¹⁶ the shadow of death.⁶⁷⁵⁷

He increaseth⁷⁶⁷⁹ the nations,¹⁴⁷¹ and destroyeth⁶ them: he enlargeth⁷⁸⁴⁹ the nations,¹⁴⁷¹ and straiteneth⁵¹⁴⁸ them again.

He taketh away⁵⁴⁹³ the heart³⁸²⁰ of the chief⁷²¹⁸ of the people⁵⁹⁷¹ of the earth,⁷⁷⁶ and causeth them to wander⁸⁵⁸² in a wilderness⁸⁴¹⁴ where there is no way.¹⁸⁷⁰

They grope⁴⁹⁵⁹ in the dark²⁸²² without light,²¹⁶ and he maketh them to stagger⁸⁵⁸² like a drunken⁷⁹¹⁰ man.
