But Job³⁴⁷ answered⁶⁰³⁰ and said,⁵⁵⁹

Hear⁸⁰⁸⁵ diligently⁸⁰⁸⁵ my speech,⁴⁴⁰⁵ and let this be your consolations.⁸⁵⁷⁵

Suffer⁵³⁷⁵ me that I may speak;¹⁶⁹⁶ and after³¹⁰ that I have spoken,¹⁶⁹⁶ mock on.³⁹³²

As for me, is my complaint⁷⁸⁷⁹ to man?¹²⁰ and if it were so, why should not my spirit⁷³⁰⁷ be troubled?⁷¹¹⁴

Mark⁶⁴³⁷ me, and be astonished,⁸⁰⁷⁴ and lay⁷⁷⁶⁰ your hand³⁰²⁷ upon your mouth.⁶³¹⁰

Even when I remember²¹⁴² I am afraid,⁹²⁶ and trembling⁶⁴²⁷ taketh hold²⁷⁰ on my flesh.¹³²⁰

Wherefore do the wicked⁷⁵⁶³ live,²⁴²¹ become old,⁶²⁷⁵ yea, are mighty¹³⁹⁶ in power?²⁴²⁸

Their seed²²³³ is established³⁵⁵⁹ in their sight⁶⁴⁴⁰ with them, and their offspring⁶⁶³¹ before their eyes.⁵⁸⁶⁹

Their houses¹⁰⁰⁴ are safe⁷⁹⁶⁵ from fear,⁶³⁴³ neither is the rod⁷⁶²⁶ of Eloah⁴³³ upon them.

Their bull⁷⁷⁹⁴ gendereth,⁵⁶⁷⁴ and faileth¹⁶⁰² not; their cow⁶⁵¹⁰ calveth,⁶⁴⁰³ and casteth not her calf.⁷⁹²¹

They send forth⁷⁹⁷¹ their little ones⁵⁷⁵⁹ like a flock,⁶⁶²⁹ and their children³²⁰⁶ dance.⁷⁵⁴⁰

They take⁵³⁷⁵ the timbrel⁸⁵⁹⁶ and harp,³⁶⁵⁸ and rejoice⁸⁰⁵⁵ at the sound⁶⁹⁶³ of the organ.⁵⁷⁴⁸

They spend³⁶¹⁵ their days³¹¹⁷ in wealth,²⁸⁹⁶ and in a moment⁷²⁸¹ go down²⁸⁶⁵ to the grave.⁷⁵⁸⁵

Therefore they say⁵⁵⁹ unto El,⁴¹⁰ Depart⁵⁴⁹³ from us; for we desire²⁶⁵⁴ not the knowledge¹⁸⁴⁷ of thy ways.¹⁸⁷⁰

What is the Almighty,⁷⁷⁰⁶ that we should serve⁵⁶⁴⁷ him? and what profit³²⁷⁶ should we have, if we pray⁶²⁹³ unto him?

Lo, their good²⁸⁹⁸ is not in their hand:³⁰²⁷ the counsel⁶⁰⁹⁸ of the wicked⁷⁵⁶³ is far⁷³⁶⁸ from me.

How oft is the candle⁵²¹⁶ of the wicked⁷⁵⁶³ put out!¹⁸⁴⁶ and how oft cometh⁹³⁵ their destruction³⁴³ upon them! Eloah distributeth²⁵⁰⁵ sorrows²²⁵⁶ in his anger.⁶³⁹

They are as stubble⁸⁴⁰¹ before⁶⁴⁴⁰ the wind,⁷³⁰⁷ and as chaff⁴⁶⁷¹ that the storm⁵⁴⁹² carrieth away.¹⁵⁸⁹

Eloah⁴³³ layeth up⁶⁸⁴⁵ his iniquity²⁰⁵ for his children:¹¹²¹ he rewardeth⁷⁹⁹⁹ him, and he shall know³⁰⁴⁵ it.

His eyes⁵⁸⁶⁹ shall see⁷²⁰⁰ his destruction,³⁵⁸⁹ and he shall drink⁸³⁵⁴ of the wrath²⁵³⁴ of the Almighty.⁷⁷⁰⁶

For what pleasure²⁶⁵⁶ hath he in his house¹⁰⁰⁴ after³¹⁰ him, when the number⁴⁵⁵⁷ of his months²³²⁰ is cut off in the midst?²⁶⁸⁶

Shall any teach³⁹²⁵ El⁴¹⁰ knowledge?¹⁸⁴⁷ seeing he judgeth⁸¹⁹⁹ those that are high.⁷³¹¹

One dieth⁴¹⁹¹ in his full⁸⁵³⁷ strength,⁶¹⁰⁶ being wholly at ease⁷⁹⁴⁶ and quiet.⁷⁹⁶¹

His breasts⁵⁸⁴⁵ are full⁴³⁹⁰ of milk,²⁴⁶¹ and his bones⁶¹⁰⁶ are moistened⁸²⁴⁸ with marrow.⁴²²¹

And another dieth⁴¹⁹¹ in the bitterness⁴⁷⁵¹ of his soul,⁵³¹⁵ and never eateth³⁹⁸ with pleasure.²⁸⁹⁶

They shall lie down⁷⁹⁰¹ alike³¹⁶² in the dust,⁶⁰⁸³ and the worms⁷⁴¹⁵ shall cover³⁶⁸⁰ them.

Behold, I know³⁰⁴⁵ your thoughts,⁴²⁸⁴ and the devices⁴²⁰⁹ which ye wrongfully imagine²⁵⁵⁴ against me.

For ye say,⁵⁵⁹ Where is the house¹⁰⁰⁴ of the prince?⁵⁰⁸¹ and where are the dwelling⁴⁹⁰⁸ places¹⁶⁸ of the wicked?⁷⁵⁶³

Have ye not asked⁷⁵⁹² them that go by⁵⁶⁷⁴ the way?¹⁸⁷⁰ and do ye not know⁵²³⁴ their tokens,²²⁶

That the wicked⁷⁴⁵¹ is reserved²⁸²⁰ to the day³¹¹⁷ of destruction?³⁴³ they shall be brought forth²⁹⁸⁶ to the day³¹¹⁷ of wrath.⁵⁶⁷⁸

Who shall declare⁵⁰⁴⁶ his way¹⁸⁷⁰ to his face?⁶⁴⁴⁰ and who shall repay⁷⁹⁹⁹ him what he hath done?⁶²¹³

Yet shall he be brought²⁹⁸⁶ to the grave,⁶⁹¹³ and shall remain⁸²⁴⁵ in the tomb.¹⁴³⁰

The clods⁷²⁶³ of the valley⁵¹⁵⁸ shall be sweet⁴⁹⁸⁵ unto him, and every man¹²⁰ shall draw⁴⁹⁰⁰ after³¹⁰ him, as there are innumerable³⁶⁹ before⁶⁴⁴⁰ him.

How then comfort⁵¹⁶² ye me in vain,¹⁸⁹² seeing in your answers⁸⁶⁶⁶ there remaineth⁷⁶⁰⁴ falsehood?⁴⁶⁰⁴
