And it came to pass a long⁷²²⁷ time³¹¹⁷ after³¹⁰ that Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ had given rest⁵¹¹⁷ unto Israel³⁴⁷⁸ from all their enemies³⁴¹ round about,⁵⁴³⁹ that Joshua³⁰⁹¹ waxed old²²⁰⁴ and stricken⁹³⁵ in age.³¹¹⁷

And Joshua³⁰⁹¹ called⁷¹²¹ for all Israel,³⁴⁷⁸ and for their elders,²²⁰⁵ and for their heads,⁷²¹⁸ and for their judges,⁸¹⁹⁹ and for their officers,⁷⁸⁶⁰ and said⁵⁵⁹ unto them, I am old²²⁰⁴ and stricken⁹³⁵ in age:³¹¹⁷

And ye have seen⁷²⁰⁰ all that Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ your Elohim⁴³⁰ hath done⁶²¹³ unto all these nations¹⁴⁷¹ because⁶⁴⁴⁰ of you; for Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ your Elohim⁴³⁰ is he that hath fought³⁸⁹⁸ for you.

Behold,⁷²⁰⁰ I have divided⁵³⁰⁷ unto you by lot these nations¹⁴⁷¹ that remain,⁷⁶⁰⁴ to be an inheritance⁵¹⁵⁹ for your tribes,⁷⁶²⁶ from Jordan,³³⁸³ with all the nations¹⁴⁷¹ that I have cut off,³⁷⁷² even unto the great¹⁴¹⁹ sea³²²⁰ westward.³⁹⁹⁶

And Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ your Elohim,⁴³⁰ he shall expel¹⁹²⁰ them from before⁶⁴⁴⁰ you, and drive³⁴²³ them from out of your sight;⁶⁴⁴⁰ and ye shall possess³⁴²³ their land,⁷⁷⁶ as Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ your Elohim⁴³⁰ hath promised¹⁶⁹⁶ unto you.

Be ye therefore very³⁹⁶⁶ courageous²³⁸⁸ to keep⁸¹⁰⁴ and to do⁶²¹³ all that is written³⁷⁸⁹ in the book⁵⁶¹² of the law⁸⁴⁵¹ of Moses,⁴⁸⁷² that ye turn not aside⁵⁴⁹³ therefrom to the right hand³²²⁵ or to the left;⁸⁰⁴⁰

That ye come⁹³⁵ not among these nations,¹⁴⁷¹ these that remain⁷⁶⁰⁴ among you; neither make mention²¹⁴² of the name⁸⁰³⁴ of their mighty ones,⁴³⁰ nor cause to swear⁷⁶⁵⁰ by them, neither serve⁵⁶⁴⁷ them, nor bow⁷⁸¹² yourselves unto them:

Psalms 16:4; Exodus 23:13

But cleave¹⁶⁹² unto Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ your Elohim,⁴³⁰ as ye have done⁶²¹³ unto this day.³¹¹⁷

For Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ hath driven out³⁴²³ from before⁶⁴⁴⁰ you great¹⁴¹⁹ nations¹⁴⁷¹ and strong:⁶⁰⁹⁹ but as for you, no man³⁷⁶ hath been able to stand⁵⁹⁷⁵ before⁶⁴⁴⁰ you unto this day.³¹¹⁷

One²⁵⁹ man³⁷⁶ of you shall chase⁷²⁹¹ a thousand:⁵⁰⁵ for Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ your Elohim,⁴³⁰ he it is that fighteth³⁸⁹⁸ for you, as he hath promised¹⁶⁹⁶ you.

Take good³⁹⁶⁶ heed⁸¹⁰⁴ therefore unto yourselves,⁵³¹⁵ that ye love¹⁵⁷ Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ your Elohim.⁴³⁰

Else if ye do in any wise⁷⁷²⁵ go back,⁷⁷²⁵ and cleave¹⁶⁹² unto the remnant³⁴⁹⁹ of these nations,¹⁴⁷¹ even these that remain⁷⁶⁰⁴ among you, and shall make marriages²⁸⁵⁹ with them, and go in⁹³⁵ unto them, and they to you:

Know³⁰⁴⁵ for a certainty³⁰⁴⁵ that Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ your Elohim⁴³⁰ will no more³²⁵⁴ drive out³⁴²³ any of these nations¹⁴⁷¹ from before⁶⁴⁴⁰ you; but they shall be snares⁶³⁴¹ and traps⁴¹⁷⁰ unto you, and scourges⁷⁸⁵⁰ in your sides,⁶⁶⁵⁴ and thorns⁶⁷⁹⁶ in your eyes,⁵⁸⁶⁹ until ye perish⁶ from off this good²⁸⁹⁶ land¹²⁷ which Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ your Elohim⁴³⁰ hath given⁵⁴¹⁴ you.

Exodus 23:32-33

And, behold, this day³¹¹⁷ I am going¹⁹⁸⁰ the way¹⁸⁷⁰ of all the earth:⁷⁷⁶ and ye know³⁰⁴⁵ in all your hearts³⁸²⁴ and in all your souls,⁵³¹⁵ that not one²⁵⁹ thing¹⁶⁹⁷ hath failed⁵³⁰⁷ of all the good²⁸⁹⁶ things¹⁶⁹⁷ which Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ your Elohim⁴³⁰ spake¹⁶⁹⁶ concerning you; all are come to pass⁹³⁵ unto you, and not one²⁵⁹ thing¹⁶⁹⁷ hath failed⁵³⁰⁷ thereof.

Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good²⁸⁹⁶ things¹⁶⁹⁷ are come⁹³⁵ upon you, which Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ your Elohim⁴³⁰ promised¹⁶⁹⁶ you; so shall Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ bring⁹³⁵ upon you all evil⁷⁴⁵¹ things,¹⁶⁹⁷ until he have destroyed⁸⁰⁴⁵ you from off this good²⁸⁹⁶ land¹²⁷ which Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ your Elohim⁴³⁰ hath given⁵⁴¹⁴ you.

When ye have transgressed⁵⁶⁷⁴ the covenant¹²⁸⁵ of Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ your Elohim,⁴³⁰ which he commanded⁶⁶⁸⁰ you, and have gone¹⁹⁸⁰ and served⁵⁶⁴⁷ other³¹² mighty ones,⁴³⁰ and bowed⁷⁸¹² yourselves to them; then shall the anger⁶³⁹ of Yahweh³⁰⁶⁸ be kindled²⁷³⁴ against you, and ye shall perish⁶ quickly⁴¹²⁰ from off the good²⁸⁹⁶ land⁷⁷⁶ which he hath given⁵⁴¹⁴ unto you.
